About Me

Hi! I’m Mary, and I’m so glad you took time to stop by! Here’s a bit about me and this blog.

I am a stay-at-home mama of 3 kiddos that I get the privilege and blessing to homeschool, and I’ve been married to my husband Jed for 12 years. I am so thankful that we’ve had the chance to “grow up” together after marrying young (we couldn’t even have champagne at our wedding!)

I became a bit of an “enneagram nut” in the last year or so because learning my type and how God wired me has really impacted me in a lot of ways. For those of you that know about the enneagram, I’m a self-preservation 2 with a super strong 1 wing.
I find a lot of joy in getting to create, capture and preserve memories with my family and friends (even when my constant picture requests drive them all nuts!) and I absolutely thrive when I get the chance to be creative. I have a bit of a coffee addiction and would eat caramel every day if given the chance. My favorite season is fall, but I love finding the little blessings and gifts in every season! And obviously, I love—LOVE—to write. I am so excited that I get to use a favorite “outlet” of mine to share God’s work in my life with others. I am a recovering perfectionist learning how to let go of control and just trust my amazing Heavenly Father to take care of things for me (which is why I chose the word "raphah" for my blog; it’s actually the Hebrew word for "let go"). I am still learning and growing a lot, just a fellow sister-in-Christ being refined and matured in this grand adventure of life, but I pray that what I write will bless, encourage, and inspire each of you in your unique journeys.
